Sugar Beats were brought together by a love of all kinds of music. The band soon found that their brand of jazz was something for everyone to enjoy. French girl from Luton is taken from their critically acclaimed album Search for Peace, that was noticed by Straight No Chaser, praised by Gilles Peterson and played by Russ Dewbury (Jazz rooms), Dom Servini (Wahwah 45s), Mr Scruff, Mike Chadwick, Nik Weston, Rob Luis (Tru thoughts), Ennio Styles, Adam Regan (Leftfoot), Simon Harrison (Basic Soul), Sammy Goulbourne (New Style radio). Tony Dudley-Evans (Artistic Director Cheltenham Jazz Festival) says: Sugar Beats' mix of jazz and beats makes them both danceable and interesting to listen to. They are representative of a jazz scene that appeals to a new young club audience.
