简介

The Song "I Got Love", originally on the Sharon Anderson: Life and Times album, has been garnering attention on internet and traditional radio. It has a freshness and open heartedness about it that truly celebrates Love. This transforming, if folky little offering -- slightly Appalachian in its appeal, is punctuated with banjo and guitar licks by Nashville dobro-great Chas Williams, and features Peter Young drums, Dennis Wage on the B3, and Chas on bass also, in his Brentwood REL studio. This kind of a song comes about when such a creative instrumentalist as Chas, lets Sharon bring out the poetry hidden in a melody. The result is toe tapping and captivating .Now you can find it also on Sharon's albums "Enchanted Trails", and "To Sir with Love". Sharon has been an artist on Capitol, Liberty, Curb and Royalty record labels and has had top 10 songs in Canada as well as over 70 of her songs recorded by such artists as the Judds, Susan Jacks, Lucille Starr, Lisa Brokop, Eli Barsi, and One Horse Blue, She toured for years appearing with artists like Dan Seals, Tom T Hall , Jo Dee Messina, and The Nitty Gritty Dirt band, and has been featured in promotional appearances with Garth Brooks, Suzy Bogus, Hal Ketchum, Charlie Rich and Tanya Tucker . Television performances include the Tommy Hunter show, Nashville Now, and Sharon has graced the stages of Fanfare at Riverfront park in Nashville, and many theatres and performance halls across the States and Canada. These many events, as well as serving as host of the Songwriters Café’s at the Canadian Country Music Awards ceremonies during the 90's, have left Sharon’s work an indelible imprint alongside the fine writers and entertainers of her day. The years have aged her like a fine wine; matured and emerging gracefully into a brand new level of artistic expression. Quotes: Sharon Anderson has quietly carved out a career as a singer/songwriter that few Canadian female artists have achieved”—Larry Delaney; The Writer’s Block: Country Music News-- Feb. 2011 Ian Tyson: "Those are lovely songs-- They really are.." 2013 Chas Williams: session player - "Thanks for letting me have a go at your masterpieces" Norro Wilson; famed producer and Nashville hit writer "You don't know how special you are" and most recently on this new Enchanted Trails album, renowned session player Rory Hoffman said " I had fun working on these. They're not your standard run-of-the-mill songs. They have interesting chord progressions and such. It is always nice to work on real music." Sharon's writing and styles can be reminiscent of artists like Sara Bareilles, Elizabeth Mitchell, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, The Band Perry, the Dixie Chicks and Taylor Swift.. more likely however, harkening back to the inspirations of Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Cat Stevens, Nanci Griffith, and Paul Simon.
