Michael Guinn is a Texas native who has moved the crowds with his poetry and quickly established himself as one of the premier Spoken Word Poets in the nation. Holding a Masters Degree in Social work, he's also the CEO/Founder of Mental Massages(A Company that creates and delivers framed poetry). His many talents include not only poetry but acting as well. Michael most recently performed in the 2003 Martin Luther King Theatre Project Keeping The Dream Alive and the 2004 MLK Production "And The Dream Goes On" in Sacramento Ca. Michael has also done work for television, radio and commericals. He recently recived call backs for several net work shows including the new MBC Network's show SPOKEN". Michael currently ranks 13th in the country and consistently ranks among the top 20 poets at the National Poetry Slams the past two years. As a member of the Fort Worth Slam Venue he founded in 2001 the seam ranked among the top 20 teams yearly. Michael also placed 3rd in the New Word Series in Berkeley Ca, and 3rd in the 25,000 Step To The Mic Spoken Word Competition in Stockton Ca in 2003.
