I recorded this album of original tunes at the age of 22 in 1983. Most of the songs were written in high school and college and are about love, life, and my love of mountains and the outdoors. I spent a great deal of my time in high school and college hiking in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and several of the songs were sung and even written at Philmont Scout Ranch near Cimarron, New Mexico during summers when I was on staff as a ranger and in the backcountry. I was and still am very idealistic and hopeful, and these songs reflect that young joy and wonderment at this big world of ours.
