In 2012, I set out to record my 2nd CD project in the Songbook series on an M-box mini, laptop, and microphone. All of the project was recorded at my apartment, except organ, which was recorded at New Directions Missionary Baptist Church, where Kevin Sanders is pastor. It was complete, without drums and mixing and mastering in Spring of 2013. Somehow, I lost all of the files in my laptop, but thankfully I'd already turned them over to Chris Hines to add drums and to mix and master. Finally after acquiring additional recording equipment, and completing Songbook Volume 3, I realized that we needed to press to get Volume 2 finished. When I was notified that the drums had not been recorded, I took my new recording system to New Vision Church, where Pastor Clint Yancy is pastor, and had Josh Yancy to record them. Thank God that this project has finally been completed for such a time as this. This project features J. Bass on all vocals and instruments, except drums.
