When I write my music and lyrics, I attempt to "strike a chord" in my listeners. As a teenager, I am not a father, but during the writing process of Daddy's Little Girl, I simply imagined the emotions a father has on his daughter's wedding day. I hope all fathers with daughters can identify with the lyrics in this song in some way. Although songs that are this long aren't nearly as marketable, I feel that the length was necessary to "tell the whole story." I hope this song becomes and remains a poignant reminder of a father's love for his daughter, and to all the dads out there: may she always be your little girl.
