Barry Ward’s latest CD, Distant Furrows, is now available! Dedicated to America’s farmers and ranchers, the album features 17 original songs about farming and family intertwined with faith in God. Plus a bonus track of Barry’s frequently requested rendition of “How Great Thou Art.” The songs on the album are hand-picked favorites from Barry’s first four albums, which are now discontinued. Barry wrote the songs and first recorded them while operating his fourth-generation family farm in Copeland, Kansas. In 2014, Barry recorded thirteen of the songs with a fresh, acoustic sound with Joe Stephenson as executive producer and included the original recordings of three of the songs along with a new rocking blues melody, “The Farming Sun Blues.” The CD includes “Harvest in the Fall,” the closing-credits song in the documentary, Great American Wheat Harvest, currently showing in theaters across the country and available on DVD. The song is the story of Barry’s last wheat harvest with his father, Leonard, and Uncle Tommy Ward.
