简介
"My music is pure vibes in essence and in concept" Says London born multi-faceted musician Pvibez. "Without meaning to sound pretentious or anything...as long as I'm around, music and creativity is a necessity and will always be a way of life for me. That is one one thing I definitely know" The album in question "Love Iz The Notion" unlike his first solo venture “Urban Xpressionz” is a full 12 track affair!!! "Love Iz The Notion" is a gumbo of funk, jazz, latin, rock and dub inspired soul all wrapped up in Pvibez singular musical sensibility and it has been several years in the making sandwiched in between live work, a workshop stint, working with various artists on another of his projects and working on his business ideas. It all finally came together in the late winter/spring of 2016 where the final tracks were recorded to complete the picture. "This album is a story about love in its many guises (or incarnations) so to speak whether it be spiritual, social, romantic or physical. I like to look at this work as a musical novel & each track is a chapter in the story of the protagonist who upon becoming disillusioned with the senseless deaths, poverty and injustices around him leaves his homeland to seek out the fabled island of Utopia. The whole point of his journey is to find a higher spiritual enlightenment restore his faith in humanity and return home to hopefully affect a change for the better." He muses. The DIY auteur taking care of most everything himself from the playing of instruments, lead and backing vocals, recording and engineering still keeps in line with his previous venture enlisting some solid support in the guise of: Vicky Flint (Trumpet), Ben Greenslade-Stanton of The Mighty Mocambos (Trombone), Sabian Endorsed US Percussionist JoVia Armstrong (El Debarge, Omar, Frank MCcomb, Rahsaan Patterson) and Londoners Jonny Gow (Flute) and Rassina (Vocals) respectively.
