The Stagger Rats hail from Edinburgh and were recently signed by Budapest-based record label WP Ents to record their first album. The album (comprising 13 tracks) has been produced by renowned Owen Morris. Several singles and music videos will be released over the course of the summer in 2011. Their music is fresh and constructs something unique yet timeless that people can connect with. The band is charmingly unconventional. They lived and breathed music together since they were 'wee'. Their sound is tight and well structured. Their message is sharp. The band swaggers panache but delivers thoughtful messages. WP Ents engaged Owen Morris who has worked with international artists such as Oasis, the Verve, The View and Kaiser Chiefs. The Stagger Rats enjoyed their two month stint in Budapest working on the album and shooting three music videos. Shooting locations included the ex-Warner Bro's studio, Brody House and a unique palace in the heart of Budapest which housed the world-famous Kincsem race horse. the videos have a quirky British feel. Since their return to the UK The Stagger Rats performed at Wickerman (Main stage), The Secret Garden Party, Shetland Tall Ships (Supporting The Levellers). They will be playing at Bestival on 10 September 2011. The first single, 'Fuzzy, Fuzzy', has been released on 6 August. Their debut album will be released in Autumn 2011.
