Written, produced, and performed (one instrument at a time) by Landon Balk in his apartment bedroom, 'Death of the American Dream' is an imaginative concept record. This is where'd you'd go if you wanted some gripping philosophy on top of some solid rock and roll. The way this album rolls, you often don't know when one song starts and the other begins. There's a narrative to the whole thing that brings it, as an album, into a whole other realm. The fact that it was all done in an apartment bedroom by one person is astounding in and of itself, but on top of that the songs are well written and produced. There definitely is a craft at work here.
