If cymatics show that sound waves transcend the auditory perception, then Cymatica is where sound waves exist as other forms. Sonically cinematic with a heavy foundation of hard hitting hip-hop style drums and ethereal synthesizers and guitars. The melodies themselves are whimsically melancholic and invoke a lot of emotion. The neo-retro production is inspired, and certainly deserves a close listen on a pair of headphones. At the root of it all these are just great songs, and great songs are hard to come by.
