Songs are companions. Some walk with you for many years, some come and go. Left Behind is one of those songs with a long history. I originally wrote the song many years ago and even recorded a demo version of it. It found its way into the drawers but has resurfaced from time to time as a personal favourite to perform with. For my new album I decided that it was time to give Left Behind the attention it deserves.

Left Behind is a narrative about the longing for a higher purpose that most people share. It expresses the fear that there is nothing more and if there is, to not be included. It is also a prayer to be found by God and to be included.
