I’ve attempted to produce this new album of original material in a way that each song flows easily from one to the next. The songs are all upbeat tempo Rock & Roll style grooves, with the exception of “The Mansion” which is more Pop/Rock and a bit of a tease of things to come on the next project in 2011. I enlisted the help of Mike Goudreau (guitar) who previously worked with me on “Consumed” and “Nowhere to escape”. Mike is a wonderful guitarist who is able to quickly capture what I’m looking for and come up with some great riffs and fills. You should check out Mike and his “Boppin' Blues Band” if you haven’t already! In addition, Mike introduced me to Peter Brown (piano) with whom he had worked in the past. Peter is a great pianist who came up with some hot solos and cool fills on several of the songs on the album. To complete this trio of collaborators, Peter’s wife “Lesley” helped with back vocals. This was my first time working with another vocalist and Lesley made the transition easy. The album was mixed and mastered by Matthew Thomas at Shattered Wings Studio, Ottawa. Matthew made it all happen by placing all the pieces together and giving the concept the sonic reference I was looking for.
