Celtic music fans, this one really deserves your attention. This is one beautiful, enduring album. Compares favourably and strongly with any kind of release in this genre, there are really no listening "valleys" here, so you can let it take you away. For the uninitiated, my recommendation for "After The Tempest" is without reservation. Worthy of inclusion in any music library or collection that includes Chieftains II, Ossian's Seal Song, and that whole type of thing, and would compliment and complete it nicely. Haunting and fully-realized work from Canada's Newfoundland, featuring Pamela Morgan and the late Noel Dinn, band visionaries, with more than able help.

Figgy Duff continued to set the standard for innovation and sonic quality with this album. Recorded right after they wrote an original score for Shakespeare's "Tempest" (hence the album title) the band was making its first forays into writing their own music, and had amassed an even wider repertoire of traditional ballads. The band was working a lot with Emile Benoit around this time, inspired by his tunes and his energy, and had more touring under its belt.
