Night Skies

Night Skies is a CD that came about rather fast for me, about 2 or 3 hours in a 10 day period of just improvising over some scales in my Akai MPD 26. I have been incorporating into some recording with some Tongue Drum things I been working on. Most of the scales are from what I have gathered from the Hang Drum or Pantheon Steel Halo, also a few of my own custom. The Akai MPD 26 is a beautiful USB/MIDI controller in that you can lay out any 8, 12, or 16 note scale like on any Hang type instrument for a fraction of the cost and I just wanted to showcase this fine tool. This is the first of hopefully at least 3 solo type cd’s I want to do in the style of Hang Drum Relaxation/Meditative music not necessarily with the Akai but with the Wooden Tongue Drum, Zen Tambour Milltone, and Artbell Steel Tongue Drums. I hope you enjoy, and that it brings some peace, love, and tranquility to your life.
