Jannel's 6 brothers and sisters never had the money to attend a Nebraska Game or a color TV to watch it on! So the family would pack up and go watch Nebraska Games on Grandma's living room floor. Jannel saw her hometown turn RED on game days and all that RED on Grandma's color TV turned into a "Sea of RED" in Jannel's childhood memory. Jannel is credited for having coined the phrase "Sea of RED" before newscasters and press started using it as a household phrase....although, we don't think you can copyright and claim royalties on a phrase ;) Too Bad! "No Woman's Land", "Clementine Street", "Late Bloomer" and the famed "Sea of RED" are favorites in Jannel's live show.
