Lew Grant was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. He began his musical studies at the age of ten and by age twelve began his professional career in entertainment with the vocal group from Atlanta "The Continentals". Lew went on to study classical styles in music at Clark College, now Clark Atlanta University. where he led the French Horn section and sang first tenor in the Philharmonic Society. He continued his musical education with the United States Armed Forces School of Music . Lew formed the Prime Ministers Band. The Prime Minsters Band became the house band for NY Mets Don Clendenons' Club. The Mine Shaft in the original Underground Atlanta and the famous Paschal's La Carousel. Since the time, Lew has proven himself to possess the unique ability to produce music of the stature with men of stature and theatrical talent. Lew has performed with Robert Lee Smith and The Original Tams, Liz Spraggins, R and B Great Barbara Hall, Bobby Blue Bland, Cannonball Adderly, Mongo Santa Maria, Bassist Robert Popwell and numerous other international and local artist. With vast experimentations and divergent musical forms, Lew meets the challenge of the times.
