What more can be said about Lew Grant? As a song writer, arranger, music director, vocalist, music Instructor and Producer, when it comes to music, what hasn't he done? Lew Grant was born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. He began his musical studies at the age of ten and by the age of twelve he began his professional career in entertainment with the vocal group "The Continentals". Lew went on to study classical styles in music at Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University) where he led the French Horn section and sung first tenor in the Philharmonic Society. He continued his musical education with the United States Armed Forces School of music in Norfolk, Virginia. With the awareness of what was needed on the contemporary sound scene, it bred a desire to create a significant coalescence of sound input that would project charisma, style, versatility and universal appeal. with this formula mentally outlined, it resulted in the Prime Minister Band being formed. The Prime Minister Band became the house bane for NY Mets Don Clendenon's Club "The Mine Shaft" ( in the original Underground Atlanta and the famous Paschal's La Carrousel. Since that time Lew has proven himself to possess the unique ability to produce music of stature with men of stature and theatrical talent. Lew has performed with Robert Lee Smith and The Original Tams, Liz Speaggins, the R&B greats Barbara Hall, Bobby Blue Bland, Cannonball Adderly, Mongo Santa Maria, Shirley Diamond, bassist Robert Popwell and numerous other international and local artists. With the vast experimentations and divergent musical forms, Lew meets the challenge of the times. Now Lew has gone solo with his One Man Band performing a wide variety of musical flavor that will satify most musical taste.
