You’ve got your special city or town. Or port in a storm. Maybe it’s some stop on some highway. It’s a place. And you’ve either been there a bunch of times, or it’s a place you’d love to see. But in either case, there will be times you see it for the first time. Again. It’s not because it looks different. Or because you look different. It’s because it IS different and you see something new. You could be walking or riding or sailing or flying – however you get around – and maybe you’re snapping your fingers because it all feels good. And you notice this difference – sort of like a halo. Like the light around the moon on a hazy night, or some ghostly glow given off by the spirit of some being or happening that you don’t know or you missed. But you’re closer than you’ll ever be now. And your fingers keep time with the fluctuations of the halo. But you’re not looking at the stars. You’re looking at what’s moving beneath your feet, and making sure it’s still there and you’re still there. And you are. Moving together. Or maybe it carries you. Not the earth, but something else. It’s a train rolling down a track. Moving forward. You don’t know where, but you learn as you get deeper into the picture you’re becoming a part of. And you’re not leaving your place behind you. The tracks are not behind you – they’re inside you. You can’t see them there. You feel them. Like you feel a note from a string. That’s what helps you to look. And see. Again. “Look with your ears.” liner notes by Forrest Griffen Austin, Texas Produced by Mr. Brown
