Sangiolo's first release was produced by Brooks Williams and features his precise guitar work as a backdrop to her honest and soulful music. Maria Sangiolo is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist with eight solo albums to her credit. Her most recent CD, Maria and Friends – Planting Seeds was chosen for the 2011 Parents Choice Gold Award on the Raging River Records label. She’s been singing since she heard the angel of music riding in the backseat of her parent’s Chevy wagon. Sangiolo has a grass roots following both nationally and regionally in her home of New England. Her music show-cases her range of writing styles from heartfelt, melancholic ballads to rich narratives in the traditional and contemporary folk form.
