简介
Chicago native Jefferson Bergey is sentimental and sleazy, a dirty game show host, a musical theater choir boy, a candid story teller, and a tall-tale spinner. He folks hard. He softly rocks. He also hates writing from third person perspective. The classically trained singer divides his time between performing his quirky, original material with a full band, as a solo acoustic act, and as both a featured and lead vocalist for numerous bay-area groups. Along with providing the voice of Gregg Allman for Freestone Peaches: A Tribute To Duane Allman or as the male voice of the bombastic Bay Area wedding-band, Suite Love Express, Bergey enjoys dabbling in multiple genres including soul, blues, rock, jazz, R&B, folk, cabaret, and comedy. Over the past two years he's performed at renowned venues such as Sweetwater, The Boom Boom Room, and even multiple private shows at the Facebook compound. Bergey balances ballads and romantic anecdotes with graphic lyrical gruffness and gutsy bawdiness that can be just as soulful and honest as it is silly and outlandish. This is more than evident in his online series 'Bergey and the Buddha' or Fish Eye Films' award-winning 48 hour film challenge titled 'Goyim on the Roof'' that Bergey stars in and also won 'Best Music' at the San Francisco competition. He even tackled age-old topic of fairy-tale cannibalism in 'Soup of the Day', a concept video of his twisted take on the classic story of Hansel and Gretel that was recently shot/illustrated by Tom Rhodes and premiered at The Lost Church in San Francisco. This past summer saw the release of his California recording debut titled 'Shower Time'. The EP is a raw and intimate introduction to both the clean and the dirty voices of his repertoire recorded live by Kyle M. Terrizzi (The Plastic Arts), and mixed and mastered by Ryan Clark (Obstacle Course) You can find him on facebook, twitter, bandcamp, itunes, spotify, or in the bushes outside your mom's house.
