A Chicago native and now bay area resident, Jefferson Bergey folks hard and softly rocks. The classically trained singer divides his time between performing his quirky, original material with both a full band and as a solo acoustic act and as a featured and lead vocalist for numerous bay-area groups spanning multiple genres including soul, blues, rock, jazz, R&B, folk, cabaret, and comedy. As a singer-songwriter his colorful style straddles the line between sentimental and sleazy. Bergey balances ballads and romantic anecdotes with a graphic gruffness and gutsy bawdiness that can be just as soulful and honest as it is silly and outlandish. 'Shower TIme' is a raw, intimate introduction to both the clean and the dirty voices of his repertoire recorded live.
