This album was requested by the people of Holy Redeemer Church in Burton, Michigan where Daniel Schmit, Christine Mason, and Tara Philip share their talents in leading worship at that church community. The song choices reflect music used at the masses on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, with the exceptions of "Seven Rejoices of Mary", which is used the following week for the feast of Mary, Mother of God Jan 1st, and "Joseph's Song". After having two children and losing a full-term baby in the womb, Daniel added Joseph's Song as a personal addition to the collection and sung the track with his own children in mind.

Mike Hilliker, the Album producer, and Melanie Rea, a guest vocalist on two tracks, are frequent guest musicians and Holy Redeemer and it is fitting that they added their voices to the project. We hope this project blesses you and your family during the Advent and Christmas Season and that the love of Christ shine through our singing.
