Synthika is an electronic music collaboration project launched in 2007 by two Finnish brothers and producers Tempo Giusto and Ima'gin. Synthika's production ranges from slower minimal to deep driving tech trance. Using the finest elements from several different genres, they call their style club progressive - always fresh and elaborate, their sound is distinct and melodies captivating while all of the production is essentially highly danceable club material. Both being innovative reformists, Tempo and Ima'gin were tired of the generic main stream trance sound and wanted to break boundaries in dance music. They decided to combine their different talents, skills, and tastes into something new and exciting, something that would bring back strong themes into music yet with an experimental twist! Synthika's production is a fusion of Tempo's groovy minimal and tech trance and Ima'gin's classical synths and epic melodies - a thrilling new dance sound! == 1. Mandala Named after the concentric meditation diagrams of the Buddhists, 'Mandala' represents the more progressive house sound of Synthika, already heard in 'Nirvana'. The minimal groove of the bass line grinds a resolute groove with the dry percs, and the mesmerizing main theme gives the whole tune a cool cut dance twist. Small variations make way for a short break which gives people a moment before Mandala gives the crowd another go. 2. Anticipation Anticipation is the speedier track of the EP, coloured by the hurrying feel of the repeating main melody. A monotonous backstrike bass line pumps throughout the track persistently with dry minimal sound percs. The breakdown gives a short pause until the hurrying melody comes back, in an even more relentless variation, demanding the dancers to shake it with all they got.
