Bairn's Kist is based on hundreds of active workshops in parent and toddler groups, as well as Christina's own experience as a parent and arts worker. The songs are easy to pick up and have been selected with parents and childcare workers in mind to give you plenty of opportunity to interact with your children - and give them a taste of Scottish language and culture at the same time. There are old favourites here, and some which might not be so familiar, and the suggested activities are all tried and tested. When US-based Scottish actress Ashley Jensen resolved to bring her son up with an ear for a Scottish accent it was Bairn's Kist she chose to play to him!
