简介
When my parents named me Melody, little did they know how "fitting" that name would be. From knowing every song on the radio to teaching myself how to play guitar, music has always been the biggest thing apart of my life. When I was fourteen my mom got me into the studio and had me record my very first single "Stay". Since "Stay" there have been twenty-six songs I have gotten produced. It was almost an infectious feeling of getting behind the microphone and watching my words, my melodies, come to life. My album "Letting Go" has been a process five years in the making because I knew when the world heard my music for the very first time, I wanted them to hear me. I wanted them to discover who I was as an artist. I have always been an open person and that's why through the many experiences I have faced these past five years, this album has helped me "let go" of them all. This is my declaration, my deliverance, of who I was and who I am now. I have kept this album as a part of me for so long as a reminder of the day when I finally did "let go", but looking back now these past five years have only just been the process of where I am today. I want to thank Rick Smith from Hobartrax for taking my "baby" and bringing it to life. Your dedication and enthusiasm towards my songs have helped me write more. To my mom Barbra, thanks for the countless amounts of input, money, and backup vocals you have put into making my dream a reality. My sister April, you are the existence of the notes I wanted so bad to reach and the harmonies I never heard. To the rest of my family and friends, thanks for listening to the same CD over and over again in my car, for the Saturdays we spent in the studio, and the belief that one day this album would come to life.
