The debut album of Anna Matsuoka (p), the Grand Prix winner of the Chigusa Award the 7th Competition. She is a unique pianist who studied and mastered both classical and jazz music at the same time. She learned classical music at the Juilliard School in New York and jazz piano at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, graduating from the latter with honors and at the top of her class, which proved her outstanding talent. Since university, she has performed not only on stage but also on the streets in the concourse of subway stations to earn tips, during which she experienced New York's subculture firsthand, such as seeing a homeless person perform hip hop dance to her music. Out of the total 10 pieces in the album, 4 are her originals, while the other 6 include fusion and standard music pieces with ample variety to keep you entertained. Her piano style and technique are far from what you would expect from a rookie, being colorful and aggressive, with the highlights being the spontaneous solos that she plays resolutely. The other performing members are Shunsuke Kimura (b), Kazuaki Yokoyama (ds), and other promising young musicians such as SHUNSEI (as) and Takuma Asada (g) as guests.
