简介

Futurama Laboratory is a label organized in Kyoto. Now, artists of the label are dotted all over Japan after their lives in Kyoto. Their way of expression much varies because of their active adoption of musical elements typical for their local scene in addition to the sense of Kyoto which connotes tradition and innovation simultaneously. Ambient, techno, electronica tracks of good quality which make listeners involved deeply into and evoke unknown images are compiled in the 5th CD released by Futurama Laboratory. Track list and what tracks are like: 1. hello, media-machine / keybook (KAGIMOTO Yuu) Kyoto new style sound-mode !! Silence, and rhythms and explosions -- and -- again -- silence! The feeling of tension and comfort which sat in religious contemplation in the temple. This is processed and made full use of exquisite electronic sounds, synthesizer sounds, and sample sounds although silence was used very very well. For dance fans, theater fans, art cinema fans and ambient music lovers, it is remarkable recommendation! Sounds like: reiki healing musics, deuter, Frank Lorentzen 2. wait for / Cuevox Melancholic and melodius IDM. Ensemble of strings, woodwinds, click noise, and glassy synthesizer sounds. Sounds like: Kettel, Nobukazu Takemura, Takagi Masakatsu 3. raise/higher / tekeshima Ambient techno. It tried to invent the euphoria that came. Sounds like: Brian Eno, The Orb, Grobal Communication, P9(Podcast) 4. next-to / hetting Organic electronica featured electric guitar and acoustic instruments. Sounds like: Arto Lindsay, fennesz, XTC 5. a tone triangle / Yang A minimalist ambient music with "Piano Phase (Steve Reich)" motif. Sound like: Brian Eno, Steve Reich 6. Michiyuki (crossing the river) / Ono Munenori Trip Hop music based on the Japanese traditional literature format "Michiyuki (means love sucide travel)". Sounds like: Tricky, Momus, Tackhead 7. Attribution / TDO Synth sounds make a cold and dark ambience. Sounds like : Massive Attack, Brian Eno 8. hhh112402 LIVE / HATCH-HETCH STATION An ambient improvisation of three musicians. Live recording at Kyoto University. Sounds like: Cluster, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Biosphere 9. Forgetive anguish / Sesqui This ambient music consists of piano and electronic sounds. These tracks are a little out of synchronization with respect to harmony and rhythm, but the composer thinks this track is representative of depressing and unstable ambience by the anharmonicity. Also due to it, this song is like epilogue of this album. Sounds like: Brian Eno, Haruomi Hosono, Japanese game music
