简介
Futurama-Lab. is a label in Kyoto, Japan, focused on unprecedented electronic music mixing ambient, electronica, techno, experimental and so on. The composers have a wide variety of interests in music and so their tracks also vary widely. From them, we selected tunes close to ambient music and released this compilation album. Maybe the tracks in this album can be classified broadly into ambient music. They have various ambience and each of them is composed of different stuffs. Listen, and you will find "ambience" accordant with your taste. In the following, we introduce the composers. Yuu Kagimoto (track 1, 9) His two tracks in this CD are spiritual and elaborate techno-ambient music using the sound of well-controlled synthesizers. His voice is also used effectively in track 1. Yuu Kagimoto seems to have tried to express images coming from deep inside him as sound. He is good at making music for 'interactive arts' which connect 'music' and 'images'. These tracks will evoke some images that listeners have never seen before. Yuu Kagimoto's solo ambient album is also on sale at CDBaby. http://cdbaby.com/cd/kagimoto Komorian (track 2), routen (track 5) A programmer, hetting makes ambient sounds in the both units. Sounds of synthesizers and guitars are mixed well to produce warm atmosphere in the track of Komorian. Ryu, the vocalist and lyricist of routen has a great presence in track 5. His spontaneous song in Japanese is surrounded by the restrained ambient soundscape featuring synthesizer and noise from life, resulting in good ambient pops depicting Japanese beauty. sesqui (track 3, 11) In track 3, sesqui succeeded in combining ethnic elements and electronic sounds at the proportion peculiar to him. The electro-ethnic rhythm constructed by his own rhythmic sense is pleasant to the ear and you may be involved in the waves of rhythm. In contrast, sesqui tried to describe the beauty of Japanese garden in track 11. Sound elements made by synthesizers are properly dispersed as rocks in Japanese garden are. You can soak up the ambient deeply. grainrain (track 4, 8) In track 4, grainrain uses simplified and sophisticated warm sounds of synthesizers. The track is composed so carefully to rise gradually that you can immerse yourself in the flow of the sounds. Noises are boldly used as rhythm in track 8. Combined with high-velocity crisp sounds of synthesizers, he creates an aura of deserted sight. The structure of the track is rather progressive and you can enjoy the flood of the sounds you have never felt before. You can listen to more tracks at his page in MySpace.com. http://www.myspace.com/cuevoxgrainrain organo orkestar (track 6, 12) The group takes firm root in contemporary and world music, and adopt modern electronic sound to produce novel ambient music. Track 6 was originally composed for a scene in forest of a show. The sound gradually changes from noisy to acoustic sound, describing a seasonal change in a forest well. Pilot, the last track of this CD, is a big piece blending contemporary music and modern electronic sounds. You can enjoy flight in cloud of sounds. Volt (track 7) Volt is good at mixing electronic sounds generated by synthesizers as you can judge from the name of the artist. You can hear simple but evergreen synthesizer sounds in the track. The track creates transparent atmosphere. hudi (track 10) He uses rather old familiar sounds of synthesizers influenced by German rock and techno music. However, the combination of the sounds is rather new, and familiarity still remains. You could not listen to the refrain of primitive rhythm burried in nice ambient without dancing.
