As the founder of choral group, "Resounding Joy!," (2003-2011), Raine Austen and her singers performed high powered, exciting and well loved Christian, Christmas and Patriotic songs. Some of which are found on the "New Life" CD. "Somebody Build A Manger" is one of those songs. This one warranted a standing ovation every time. Since going solo in 2011/2012, Austen decided to pull out this favorite and record it as a single. Penned and arranged by Joel Raney, Austen is contemplating recording a CD of Joel Raney's music and calling it "Raine Sings Raney." Let's hope this happens soon! Mini-Bio: Raine Austen is formally invited to sing at hundreds of specialty and formal events – including those for international Presidents, Diplomats and Ambassadors for a good reason. Raine's vocal talents shine in both Christian and secular song choices. Although a regular in concert at churches, she is the one that attracts the crowd at summer concert series with song renditions of Barbara Streisand, Natalie Cole, Karen Carpenter and so many more we can't list them all. But when her parents heard her singing a Patsy Cline song, that's what lead her to an eight year sojourn in Nashville where she was a regular at the Bluebird Cafe. Raine Austen has been heard on TV and radio commercials, as a back ground singer in a plethora of recording studios, as a choral arranger within the churches and gospel music genres, and a solo recording artist with 4 CDs under her belt. Vocal studies include the Music Settlement House, Blaire School of Music at Vanderbilt in Nashville, and in Cleveland under the direction of Joanne Uniatowski, Head of the Vocal Department at Baldwin-Wallace University.
