Buyepongo is a high-energy creative musical group with an infectious sound that pushes crowds to dance continuously. The group's pulse and power is built around the drum and guacharaca (pronounced: wah cha rah ca) giving them an upbeat tropical flare deeply rooted in the Caribbean coast of South and Central America. This Pan-Latin fusion takes it’s cues from traditional "roots" music of Colombia, Haiti, Belize, Honduras and the Dominican Republic. Their arrangements are unique, full-of-life, and infused with jazz and funk creating a vibrant sound that seamlessly fuses styles to it's own modern Afro-Latin groove, self-titled Buyangú.
