"When the Circus Came to Town" is Arne Åsmunds' most recent attempt at creating something beautiful and positive for people to enjoy and grow fond of, but in spite of good intentions it ends up being yet another dark and uncomfortable exploration of the short distances between love and hatred, tenderness and brutality. Luckily it sounds very cozy if you don’t pay attention to the lyrics.

Arne Åsmunds dark and macabre stories are accompanied by sweet and naive melodies. Producer Ole Jonas Storlis’ warm and organic sound presents Arne Åsmunds’ voice and lyrics with an almost unpleasant presence and authenticity.
