Fogs of August is the second Celtic/Scottish Folk release from wm Alan Ross. Eight of the album's 10 tunes are Ross "originals," drawing from rich Highlands history and other iconic Scottish subject matter, all produced with the familiar Celtic instrumentation of uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, accordion, and mandolin, in addition to Ross's intricate finger-picked styling on his 1967 Guild D-44.
