The talented Spanish duo, DisplayFM, is back on Emote with two more original tracks. Remixes on this EP are by The Missing Link and Live Dudes, a new project by The Missing Link and John Templeton. 1) DisplayFM - CriketsWhen we are trying to describe the sound of DisplayFM, we like to use the term "organic techno" because their sound is so fluid, constantly developing, and anything but "loopy". Crikets perfectly fits the mold of organic techno. 2) DisplayFM - Crikets (The Missing Link Remix)The Missing Link was a natural choice to remix DisplayFM because their styles are similar in that they produce a lot of melodic techno. TML gives us a proper, near thirteen minute remix that is dark, hypnotic and evolving over the course of the track. 3) DisplayFM - Melting Melting is a track that is so well layered with bass, harmony and melody; add to that a deep, driving beat, and it's another track that fits the term of organic techno. 4) DisplayFM - Melting (Live Dudes Remix)This is the debut remix of a new project by The Missing Link and John Templeton. It's a remix that straddles the line between jazzy minimal and organic techno with a touch of extreme polkacore.
