In 2008 The Press Gang was declared the "new voice of sea shanties" on the East Coast at Norfolkfest. Their sound is authentic and they dress in clothing of the period and teach about life on the sea as well as sing. The songs on this CD are from the 1700-1800's and are work or fo'csle shanties. They are sung a cappella and are rousing, fun and full of the feel of the sea and sailing ships.
