Dean Johnson: Since arriving in New York from Seattle, Washington in 1980, Dean has been busy free lancing with a wide variety of artist including his 10 year association with Gerry Mulligan. Some of the eclectic array of artist Dean has been and continues to be involved with Bob Brookmeyer, Randy Brecker, Joe Lovano, Dave Liebman, Art Lande ,Dave Douglas, Lee Konitz, Nguyen Le, Steve Kun, Wynton Marsalis, The New York Voices, Jackie and Roy, Kendra Shank and many others. Dean has appeared on 50 plus recordiings with a variety of beautiful artist. Dean lives in brooklyn with his wife Naomi, daughter Camille and dog Frida. Skip Hadden: has been recording and performing with major artist since 1968. He breadth of styles is apparent in his recordings and performances with such names as , Dewey Redman and Weather Report. This his latest endeavor with old friend and compatriot Michael Bocian celebrate their 20 plus years of working together. Bocian say's " it's an honor and joy to be in the company of such a gifted and dedicated artist as Skip Hadden. Skip lives in Glouchester Mass with his wife Gwen and is currently teaching and performing on a global level. Michael Bocian: has resided in New York for thirty plus years now. He has performed and recorded with Dewey Redman, Rashid Ali, Fred Hersch, Joe Lovano, Richie Beirach, Ed Blackwell, Cameron Brown, Tom Rainey, Bill DeArango, Ratzo Harris, Paul McCandless, Dave Samuels, Larry Porter, Ed Schuller, John Betch, Jay Azzolino, Reggie Workman, Dennis Irwin, Ken Werner, David Darling, Scott Lee, Billy Drewes, Judy Silvano, Billy Hart, Mark Feldmen, Victor Jones, Bill Bickford, James Emery, Paul Samuels, Andrew Cyrille, Dave Douglas, Gregor Huebner, to name a few. Michael has ten cd's out as a leader on Gunther Schuller's label Gunmar, Enja Records and his own Ulua Music. He recorded on Joe Lovano's Viva Caruso cd on Bluenote records, and a duet video with Dewey Redman for electric guitar and clarinet, as part of a Guggenheim grant awared to Dewey. He's also is in collaberation with a group called WOOD with Billy Drewes, and Scott Lee, featuring artists such as Gregor Huebner and Mark Feldman. Michael has a book out on Mel Bay titled," 25 Etudes For Contemporary Guitar,"( which is released in audio format ) he currently lives in Astoria, New York, with cats, Paco and Chica. (Paco is currently the mayor of cats in Astoria on the park) "The finest jazz guitarists to have come out of Cleveland are Bill DeArango, Jim Hall, and Michael Bocian, Bocian deserving far more attention and air play because his playing is technically brilliant".
