I actually heard the rhythm of this song one Sunday while I was sitting in church. I usually don't make music on Sundays, but I went straight home after church and created the beat to this track. I already had the chorus written, but had no song to put it to. This beat fit the chorus perfectly. I usually don't write songs with 4 verses, but just like one of the lines in the song, words kept coming to me, so I somehow fit them all in.

Many of the lyrics actually talk about my struggle to remain in a love-less and tumultuous marriage at the time. It was an ongoing battle because I didn't believe in divorce, but at the same time, my life was spiraling downward as I became more and more miserable.
