Label boss Dave Greenhouse returns on No Theory with stoned & dethroned a proper two track techno E.P. which features Byron Gilliam on remix duty. Dave turns to a more modular sound on this one. The heavy kick and bass line storm through the track while the plucky synth jumps on for the ride. As always the percussion is crisp and sharp with a coarse clap adding the tension. A good peak time choice for any dark room. Gilliam's remix proves this guy's versatility, somehow turning this into a peak time chugger. This has his trademark sound with a hefty kick and fluid percussion. Short snappy breaks add bite and he works the synth line well with some inspired effects. Bangin' stuff!!
