As a trombonist, I have far reaching influences: guitarists being one of them. I was always attracted to how powerful and expressive those solos were, from blues-BB King, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters-to rock crossovers-Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix, Clapton-to the more heavy metal guys-Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Ritchie Blackmore, Gary Moore, Eddie Van halen, and the list goes on and on and on…I could also mention the jazz guys-Jim Hall, Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, Ed Bickert- but it wouldn’t be appropriate for this tune……oops, just mentioned some of them……Ok, no influence from the jazz guys on this one…….or is there?
