简介
Three every different works from very different times. “Acceptance” was written in 1982 for multiple instruments, choir and the electric bassist Anthony Jackson. The work was never recorded and so this is an electronic version update in 2000. "Diminished " was written for a short film by Yakov Levi. I spent a long time writing this title piece with Bill Frisell in mind to play it. The movie was about a stunning guitar player, and his love, living on the lower east side of Manhattan in 1984. This performance was more or less ‘read’ by Bill. Wonderful job. The last piece, “Four Pianos,” was improvised live in Banff, Canada while I was on a composition retreat. The four of us, Marcel Bergman, Philipe Bodin, Andrea Clearfield and myself, had taken to playing late night on the wonderful pianos availed to us, and on this particular night we set it all down. It was 1999. Donald Rubinstein
