简介

Jim shares the highs and lows of love in his Acoustic Country Rock style of playing. We all go thru disappointments and struggles. Time does heal, and we're finding there's hope is this life after all! The songs were recorded 11.15.12 @ The Hermitage (The Hermitage in Casa Grande, Arizona – my friend’s tin roof unfinished garage I've lived in since Sept 2011) It's amazing what you can accomplish from a garage. I guess you could call me a "One man Garage Band" from Casa Grande. The title Finding Hope came shortly after my dad died in March, 1984. I moved to Las Vegas and, got a job and stayed with my big sister. I was separated from my first wife, and my two kid. I met a very beautiful young widow at the paint store where I was working and while waiting on her we started flirting with each other. I came over to see her yard sale she was having. She still felt the pain of losing her loved one – so long enough ago, that she was reaching out for love for the first time since her loss. We had an early lunch, a glass of wine and I left when her mom came over to help with the yard sale, the mom was mad that I was there; I never followed up with the young lady. Finding Hope; Words and Music by Jim Hughes; written shortly after my dad died in March, 1984. I moved to Las Vegas and, got a job and stayed with my big sister Sharon. I was separated from my first wife, Linda and my two kids: Jason (5 at the time) and Jessica (3 at the time). I met a very beautiful young widow at the paint store I where was working and while waiting on her we started flirting with each other. I came over to see her yard sale she was having. She still felt the pain of losing a loved one – so long enough ago, that she was reaching out for love for the first time since her loss. We had an early lunch, a glass of wine and I left when her mom came over to help with the yard sale, the mom was mad that I was there; I never followed up with the young lady. 8. I've Got Time To Wait; Words and Music by Jim Hughes started on Sat 6:46 pm, November 18, ’95; inspired by Wendy Lowry, my first date after my second divorce; I had my youngest son Michael over for the weekend (visitation rights every other weekend till for 10 years) That night he was too distracting (4 at the time);so it was finished Sunday @ 1:30 am – couldn't sleep) 9. Our Love; Words and Music by Jim Hughes written in July ’94, dedicated to all those who are willing to start a new beginning. 10. Take Me Back; Words and Music by Jim Hughes written in July, 1974, My first song I ever wrote – I just started playing guitar in 1972 – Here Comes The Sun was my first song I learned with Take It Easy being my second song I learned, then I got saved on July 27, 1975 and this was my first Christian song I wrote by changing the words a couple of days later – it’s called a parody when you change the lyrics to a song and give it a whole other point of view. I’ve done it to many other artists since then! 11. Leilani; Words and Music by Jim Hughes written in 1994 for Leilani, who is the most beautiful person inside and out that I have ever met. She was from Maui and said this song would be a big hit on the islands. 12. I'll Never Let You Go; Words and Music by Jim Hughes written on 10/27/94 12:42 am; Jim Hughes; Song came after I saw a girl with whom we had a summer romance in 1994; saw her @ church – she wouldn't acknowledge me or look over at me – the fling was over! Update: 11/20/11 After watching Fringe Those We Left Behind (which aired on November 11, 2011) I realize that the songs we write are a form of time travel and the love we share in those relationships never really leave.
