The Island is an acoustic live in studio pop-soul love ballad production based on an original piano theme written by Lars Follestad. Lyrics by Marianne Solberg. A bare naked production with vocals (Marianne Solberg, Lena Fløitmoen, Christine Meyer, Jorunn Hauge) and piano (Lars Follestad) only, until the last chorus, when bass (Jørun Bøgeberg), guitar (Marius Graff), and drums (Vegard Fossum) enter the soundscape in a full scale gospel shuffle.
