简介

Torrential Blues (2:47) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 1 ‘Torrential Blues’ consists of two electric guitars, bass, drums, organ and piano. This song was recorded many times before getting it right, and was the first song recorded for the album. The song includes two electric guitars, Fender Stratocaster and an Epiphone SG, to create a harmonizing effect. Flying Home (2:54) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 2 ‘Flying Home’ consists of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ and piano. This song was written quite late considering when the other songs were written, but I liked the feeling it created so decided to record it. The lead guitar in this song was quite stressful to record, due to their being a lot of slides between very far notes, which took some time to get right. Rocket Train (2:29) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 3 ‘Rocket Train’ consists of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ and piano. This song has many different recordings, each sounding different from the other, with the tempo being the main difference. However, after recording them all, this version stood out the most, being the one that had the fasted tempo and most interesting. He Still Loves You (3:48) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 4 ‘He Still Loves You’ consists of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ and piano. I wrote this song after listening to Joe Bonamassa’s, ‘Driving Towards The Daylight’, which inspired me to write a slow and meaningful song. This song wrote itself and went fairly fast from the writing process to the recording process, which helped spur me on to writing more songs. People In Mind (2:45) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 5 ‘People In Mind’ consists of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ and piano. This song was such a fun and interesting song to write and record. I remember when I first wrote the verse melody, I couldn't stop smiling, it just sounded funny. The song was originally over 5 minutes long, with two separate sections, but after some changes, I recorded it again to make it less than 3 minutes. Desert Racer (3:26) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 6 ‘Desert Racer’ consists of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ and piano. This song has a very bluesy & country feel to it, in which the drums play huge part in creating. The two guitar solos in this piece turned out better than planned, probably because I made sure they made great use of the neck pickup, which was used throughout this song, and most of the album. What I Didn’t See Before (3:06) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 7 ‘What I Didn't See Before’ consists of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ and piano. When writing this song, which proved to be very stressful, I nearly gave up on it due to the fact that nothing was coming together. It was like a jigsaw, I had loads of riffs and idea’s, but I didn't know where to stick them all. But, when I played my fender and improvised over the rhythm guitar, I accidently discovered a melody that I liked, and so the song took its tracks from there. Night Traveller (3:55) From the Album "Nashville" Jonathan Hall: Composer/Performer Track Number: 8 ‘Night Traveller’ consists of electric guitar, bass, drums, organ, piano and harmonica. This was the first song written for the album and it actually started from a chord sequence which was written for my first album, but didn't work out, so I tried it again for this album. Also, out of all the songs on this album, this is the only one featuring a harmonica, although it’s not that loud.
