简介
OK, so, this is me, alone in my basement "studio", pretending I'm Stevie Wonder, Steve Earle & Steve Miller, singing and playing instuments I know and some I don't. Lots of others in the mix, too, whose names don't happen to be Steve. I'm writing sometimes about my hometown, a steel town in Northeast Ohio, which I left long ago, but never got away from. A few of these songs look out, a few look in. These are songs for those who have learned to sidestep the social pressure to over emphasize the positive, who appreciate a yin with a yang and a good harp solo. (You get two of those here.) Songs are just a bauble out there on the periphery, and don't really matter all that much push come to shove, but if you've read this far, you probably know there are moments when the opposite might be true. Sometimes we hover out on the edge, and a song sits at the center. Anyhow, try this album on. I hope it fits. This is my most recent (#5). More coming. I hope to have a new one here mid '10. I'll post one or two of my previous albums soon. And thanks for the opportunity to use the word "periphery". Twice now.
