Ha Thanh Lich “Hà Thanh Lịch in Vietnamese“ attaches her life to the events and movements of the Vietnamese community. Arriving in Orange County, California amid the chaos of the Vietnamese immigrants without a leader, she has participated in the Vietnamese community activities and incidentally taken part in the first musical vocal idol contest held in the heartland of the Vietnamese community and won the champion award for all required musical genre, musical and poetic sensitivity, dramatic and acting expression and literary apprehension of the Vietnamese songs’ lyrics at all perfect scores from all judges: [Phạm Duy, Tuấn Khanh and Trầm Tử Thiêng ] Pham Duy, Tuan Khanh and Tram Tu Thieng famous Vietnamese composers. On the night celebrating her victory in musical arts, “The absolute perfect scores represent the impossibility in reality for musical composers granted to human being’s voice and musical arts . Epic vocal artist: Ha Thanh Lich is a mirror reflecting the instinct choice of democratic society. Ha Thanh Lich was born in Saigon, Vietnam. Her name means the elegant greenish river. But, indeed her life has not been peaceful as the delicacy of her name. Her parents from the North moved to South Vietnam during the separation of Vietnam. The parents said she had sung at very young age, maybe two, She recalls that she started following her father to his friends and relatives and stood on the table performing with gesture at age 4. Then, she began holding the key soloist in elementary thru high school for every single school events until she moved to The United States. Not only the musical arts activities but she also hold the position of the president, the secretary of entertainment, the secretary of the press or the secretary of the foreign affairs of the classes or the school in all highs school years [grade 6 to 12 ] in Vietnam. She was always nominated since peers trusted her and were persuaded that she could do the job better than any one else in class or school. The power of persuasion blending inside her blood stream is the unknown determinative factor leading her cross over all people logic minds by conquering their hearts unnoticeably . After the fall of the South Vietnam regime, Ha Thanh Lich escaped Vietnam 3 times. Saigon people still remember the first country escaping scandal officially broadcasting by all means of media about the Greek merchant ship helping Vietnamese people escape the communist regime. Ha Thanh Lich and another sister were hiding in the machine room while all the broadcasting media, such as newspaper, radio and television kept repeating of broadcasting the scandals. The ship was hold for couple weeks and finally the ship’s captain had to return Ha Thanh Lich and her sister and others to the hand of the communist government.
