以印花与乐曲，交织一座城市。 2019年，台南百年布庄锦源兴将家乡印象绘制为一系列印花，有乌鱼子、黑面琵鹭、关庙麵线...等不同图腾。乍看满是幽默，其实想以印花作为媒介，反覆省思曾经发生在这裡值得纪念的人、事、物。2020年春天，开始思索除了视觉艺术之外的更多可能，于是与音乐家何宣恩 Esther Hope 透过钢琴演奏曲创作，以七款不同印花为题，将在地文化转译成曲，揉合出创作者们对于家乡的共同记忆。视觉与音乐的重奏，如同此地名闻遐迩的多样美食，丰富精彩、令人回味。将此专辑献给台南也献给你，愿这一切只是开始，你我都能一直追随生命脚步，感受生活周遭的各样美好。 Weaving a city with pattern printing and music… In 2019, at the city of Tainan, Taiwan, a century-old fabric store— Gímgoânheng—created a series of pattern printing by using emblems of memories from our hometown. The choices of print patterns include Mullet roe, Black-faced spoonbills, Guanmiao noodles, and much more. At the first glance, it may seem humorous, but the whole series was intentionally created in remembrance of people, stories, and things that are of great merit through pattern printing as a medium. With plans to go beyond the walls of visual arts, in the spring of 2020, we teamed up with a musician, Esther Hope. Through her piano composition, we translated local cultures into music, kneading our collective memories together through seven disincentive print patterns. This ensemble of visual arts and music is just like Tainan’s famous local cuisines—lavish, exciting, and memorable! We dedicate this to the city of Tainan and also to you. May this be the beginning of us learning to savor all the goodness and wonders around the world as you and I continue to walk in the footsteps of life.
