简介：The band was founded in 1994. After some changes in the group, the final 5-membered combinations was formed four years ago when Brains signed the young and talented András Kéri aka. “MC Columbo” (Irie Maffia, GimmeShot Crew) as a new MC and forefront player. In the dynamic music of Brains several styles can be recognized such as Drum & Bass, Breakbeat, Ragga, Dancehall, and also some Rock elements. The lyrics are written in English/Jamaican (Patois) Patwa. The guys are above 700 live performances. In the recent years the band performed at practically every music festival in Hungary. Brains are regularly invited to every part of Europe (The UK, France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic etc.). The most remarkable festival gigs were at Sziget Festival, Pohoda Festival, Parkpop, Karneval der Kulturen, BNR Festival, Open Air St. Gallen and Bospop Festival beside many others. Brains played on the same stage with bands from around the world /Asian Dub Foundation, Freestylers, Roni Size, EZ Rollers, Dreadzone/. Many Brains songs has been remixed all over Europe by underground dj’s like SKC, Dilinja, Dj Dara, Dj Palotai, Dj Psure, Dj Reza, and by many others djs. Two official sound materials have come out so far in Hungary: one in 97’ and an other in 98’, which were published by Crossroads Records Hungary. The band published two other promotion materials in the year 2001 and in 2002. Brains published their third album “HUMANUAL” independently in September 2006. The material contains 17 tracks including several guest mc-s and offers a brand new sound with an extremely miscellaneous and versatile musical experience from the drum & bass, ragga, dancehall, breakbeat to the rock. Brains released their fourth album in 2008 summer called „Top Shotta”. Beside the real Brains-type songs they did an extraordinary collaboration with the junglist king Top Cat (UK), with the young and fascinating Hungarian Jazz Diva, Harcsa Veronika and with KRSA from Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra. The album will be available at main music stores in Hungary and in Austria from October, and also through the official website of the band and on live shows. The co-producer of the HuManual and Top Shotta albums was the talented and Europe-wide known Gábor Deutsch aka. "Anorganik". Check Anorganik’s site here: www.myspace.com/anorganik. The new album enjoyed an amazing welcome and great review from the media and became one of the top favorite among the new releases. The fruitful 2008 summer festival season and the „Top Shotta” album have been offered a country-wide popularity for the band. Brains will appear live on stage in the coming months in Hungary at the MR2 Petofi road shows and at Electric Congress (Drum and Bass Live Tour) events with UnoYMedio and Dj Marka.
