简介：With a powerful message of hope, singer/songwriter Sima is making her musical debut with 2second skin entertainment, while working to break down society’s negative perceptions and barriers, with her appropriately named song, BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS. “My musical journey began in a room I shared with my older sister Janet, in our childhood home in Israel. Being a huge fan of rock music my sister exposed me to an array of classic, alternative and contemporary rock music, sparking my passion and desire to perform. At an early age, I instinctively knew that my innate music abilities were incredible gifts that I should embrace and pursue. My strong voice and inspirational lyrics made it apparent to everyone around me that I had something profound to share. I realized that I wanted to do more than entertain I wanted to use music as a tool, to reach out and inspire others. Knowing that the US was the pinnacle of success for so many music artists, I made the decision to leave Israel, and move to Manhattan to cultivate my music career, in the year 2000. Although it was extremely difficult for me to leave my family and friends behind, I felt strongly that achieving my dream would also fulfill my life’s mission. After I settled into my new home in the US, I met two young producers from London – Diego and Aaron Knight, who believed in me and my talent as a singer and songwriter, and provided me with unyielding encouragement and support. For the next two years, I focused all of my time and energy on songwriting and developing a solid singing style, drawing inspiration from a variety music artists and bands, such as Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette and Tori Amos, along with groups like U2, Pearl Jam, Radio Head and the cranberries. When I felt that I was ready to record, I traveled upstate to Ithaca, NY to work with producers, Mike Parker and Alex Periales, who had worked with rock bands such as Anthrax and Overkill”. With a pop rock tone, intense vocals, and a driving guitar sound, coupled with poignant lyrics, I try to remain true to the essence of my soul. I hope that through my music, I can use my own life experiences to be a positive role model, an inspiration to my audience, and an aid to aspiring artists in developing their own passion for music. I’m currently recording my debut album BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS, which will soon release as a single. Three significant individuals who participated on this Record were Aaron Knight, my original producer who worked with me from the beginning, to give me valuable professional direction. In addition, three-time Grammy-Award winning producer/engineer Tom Lord-Alge, who helped pioneer the “flying” vocals digital tape editing method, provided his engineering expertise and mixed my first single “ Breaking Down The Walls”. Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound Studios in NYC, also a Grammy-Award winner has been producing for major labels, mastering, engineering, and mixing hundreds of albums for major pop and rock music artists, mastered my single to perfection. While living in New York City, I studied at one of the most prestigious acting schools, Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and was under the instruction of esteemed acting coaches, Susan Batson and Anthony Vincent Bova and worked with the best Vocal coaches like Melissa Cross and Don Lawrence. With a strong passion for growth and enlightenment, while continually challenging myself – I believe that by reaching for the stars, I can achieve anything that I set my mind to do, and I hope to encourage others to do the same. I know that my extraordinary journey is just beginning. However, I feel privileged to be traveling along such a rewarding and successful path, and I look forward to learning, growing, and sharing my blessings with the rest of the world.”
