简介：英国流行创作男歌手Carl Man，为香港电影《 爱寻迷》（Enthralled）（2014）电影插曲《Shut Down, Live It Up》的演唱者。   British artist Carl Man is set to take on the pop world with his exciting music and fresh style. This energetic and charismatic performer and songwriter owes his exotic Eurasian looks to his Chinese father and English mother.     This last year has seen Carl writing and recording his debut album. The first single 'Over You' hit the top 30 on the European dance chart. He opened for Jay Leno at Snoqualmie Casino in Seattle and performed on NBC and Fox TV networks. He was also featured in a four page spread in Seventeen Magazine.   When he was 6 years old, Carl's Grandmother took him to see a production of the musical 'Oliver!'. He leant over to his Grandmother and whispered "How do those boys get that job? I want to do that!". He entered his first talent show soon after singing 'The Locomotion'... unfortunately he didn't win but from then on he knew he wanted a career in entertainment.   He started performing at age 10 in musicals such as 'The King And I' and 'Oliver!' and continued to perform and study voice, piano and dance throughout his school years.   At the age of 16 he traveled to Los Angeles where he represented the United Kingdom at the World Championships of Performing Arts. He walked away with a gold medal in the under 18 Broadway vocal category and a silver medal in the under 18 Pop vocal category.   In 2001 Carl came 3rd at British National Search For A Star final and soon after started his first professional engagement as lead production singer for Celebrity Cruises. He went on to become a featured singer for Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas, the largest and newest cruise ship in the world.   Eager to explore his roots, Carl spent time in Asia appearing in numerous television commercials and print ad campaigns  including a major TV campaign for Motorola and performed at the prestigious Century Theatre in Beijing, China in the 'Wonderful Broadway Tour'.   In 2009, Carl played his childhood dream role of Aladdin in Disney's 'Aladdin- A Musical Spectacular' at Disneyland, California. The Broadway scale production is staged at the 2000 seat Hyperion Theater and is directed by Francesca Zambello, also the director of Disney's 'The Little Mermaid' on Broadway, and choreographed by Tony Award winner Lynne Taylor-Corbett. He then went on to perform across the USA in 'Tommy', 'Jersey Rocks', 'Motown Memories' and 'Christmas On Ice'.
