He is an actor, known for Le balcon (2002), L'incoronazione di Poppea (1993) and Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny (1998) 从艺历程：The international breakthrough of Harry Peeters was in Golgothab by Frank Martin together with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Christa Ludwig at the Salzburger Festspiele and with Die Zauberflöte in a new production of Jerome Savary during the Bregenzer Festspiele. Since then Harry Peeters is singing all the repertoire of his ‘fach’ in numerous famous opera houses and concert halls. His opera highlights were Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte in La Monnaie in Brussels conducted by René Jacobs and the same role in the well known famous semi-concertant version with Sir John Eliot Gardiner and his English Baroque Soloists. At the Salzburger Festspiele Harry Peeters sang Mozart’s Requiem, From the house of the dead by Janácek with conductor Claudio Abbado and Alaska Wolf Joe in Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny. Harry Peeters sang furthermore in Das Rheingold in Rome under the baton of Giuseppe Sinopoli, in Les contes d’Hoffmann in the Grand Théatre de Genève and in the Théatre du Châtelet de Paris, in Oedipus Rex in Japan with conductor Seiji Ozawa, Gurnemanz in Parsifal directed by Robert Wilson at the Houston Grand Opera, the world premiere of Le balcon by Peter Eötvös. He sang also among other Zimmermanns Die Soldaten at the Ruhrtriennale festival and at De Nederlandse Opera under the baton of Hartmut Haenchen, directed by Willy Decker. Other opera roles are for instance Jochanaan in Salome in Genua, Don Pizarro in Fidelio in Münster, Cologne and Catania, Eugène Onéguine in Amsterdam and Cologne, Don Carlos in Amsterdam and Darmstadt, L’Incoronazione di Poppea in Génève, and Mephistofélès in Faust in Liège. Recently Harry Peeters sang Gurnemanz in Parsifal in Budapest, Osmin in Die Entführung aus dem Serail in La Monnaie and König Marke in Tristan und Isolde, Wotan in Die Walküre in Perth, Orest in Elektra in Athens and Toulouse, Falstaff in Cagliari, Oedipe by George Enescu in Toulouse. In Bologna he sang Der Vampyr by Heinrich Marschner. At the Nederlandse Opera he sang in the world premiere Adam in ballingschap by Rob Zuidam. At the Nationale Reisopera he sang again Don Carlos, Parsifal, Salome, Luisa Miller, Thyeste by Van Vlijmen, and Pimen in Boris Godounov. He sang in 2012 in the Royal Opera Copenhagen Klingsor in Parsifal.
